“We have a 9 month old female black lab which we adopted from Lab Rescue at 8 weeks of age. We initially took a fun puppy group class, and then worked with a different trainer, and unfortunately, advice given during that training created some bad habits which were becoming increasingly difficult to manage. We were very close to rehoming her as we are in our late 60s and it was becoming a safety issue. There was no peace in our house and she was definitely running the show! Doug was able to help us do a hard “reset”. Thankfully the dog we picked up after her time with him is a much better version of the same sweet dog we had previously. We are practicing the things she’s been taught (and we are relearning too). Doug has checked in on us several times and is always ready to answer questions or concerns.”

I have used other trainers in the past and taught the same methods over and over, which never worked well. I am having to retrain myself to the different methods used. I am confident I will have a well trained dog in the near future. I have a 6 month old Doberman. If anyone has ever owned a Doberman puppy then you know how much work they are. She was a little crazy at 4 months old. She was biting, jumping, not listening well. She was trying to tear up everything she could. After 4 weeks of training she has calmed considerably and listens well. Doug keeps on top of things, checking in to see how she is doing, even coming to my house to train in our environment. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Doug and Sue for training.”

“Doug is truly amazing at what he does. He trained our 2 year old rescue pit bull. She is so much calmer and in my opinion safer because he trained her to not walk through a gate and we live on a dangerous country road. He gave me a good education on the amount of food to feed my animals (they have all been incredibly overfed LOL) and now even our other dogs are leading a healthier life. After her training, he gave me a class on what the commands were and how to counter any unwanted behaviors we will still be working on at home. As someone who has owned many different dogs over my lifetime, I feel that after working with All Breeds Dog Academy that I will be an even better dog owner. Thank you all so much.”

After 4 weeks with Doug and Sue, Baxter returned home a more obedient and controllable dog willing to accept commands but maintaining his spunky and playful personality. We can now walk Baxter around the neighborhood with ease and we can welcome visitors to our home without any problems. We came to you about a Pitt Lab mix street puppy, we had zero experience with this type of breed and were having mostly problems getting her to cooperate in the learning process of basic commands. “My girl Kona is 1 year old now .. Doug and Sue took her in at 4 months .. She was an incredibly reactive German Shepherd, both Doug and I were concerned .. The Dog I picked up 4 weeks later was a completely different dog .. I still go out and train with Doug and Kona .. He is incredibly generous with his time and knowledge.. My Kona is one of the best behaved GSD’s I have seen. The deal is - when Doug trains your dog - your dog WILL be trained - then you have to learn to train yourself. I am firm and expect a lot from my girl .. She walks at my heel .. I can drop her leash anywhere put her in a sit/stay and walk 1/2mile - she does not move until I call her ‘Kona-Come’ .. She is loving and protective .. If Doug trains your dog - he will board your pet (if he has the room) in a safe, clean and loving environment! Don’t be fooled when you meet Doug - he is all business, but he loves the dogs and is the best in the business .. I could not be more pleased .. The training is ongoing - I walk her 6 miles a day and will continue to train with Doug over the years.. “Great trainer. I tried different type of puppy training before and none of them can compare to All Breeds Dog Academy. My German Shepherd’s puppy had developed some aggressive behaviors and all the previous trainers were unable to find out what wrong with him except the trainer from All Breeds Dog Academy. They explained to me in detail what wrong with my puppy and offers advices on how to take care of my puppy in the future. Their pricing are very reasonable and I do see big changes from my puppy. Because of them, he is able to spend time with the family and our small children without us worrying about his rambunctious behavior.
